exists in 3
redox (reduced/oxidized) states: fully
oxidized (ubiquinone), semiquinone (ubisemiquinone), and fully reduced (ubiquinol). All 3 forms are essentially
bio-equivalent, though ubiquinol
has 10% greater absorption. Coenzyme
Q10 is abbreviated as CoQ10, CoQ, or Q10
is a 1,4-benzoquinone, where “Q” refers to the quinone chemical
group, and 10 refers to the number of isoprenyl
chemical subunits in its tail. It was
discovered in 1954, and in the 1980s there was a steep rise in clinical
trials. This oil-soluble, vitamin-like
substance is present in most eukaryotic cells, primarily in the mitochondria,
which is found in every cell in the body [also in LDL, HDL, & the cell
membrane at]. It is a component of the electron transport chain and participates
in aerobic cellular respiration, generating
energy in the form of ATP. Ninety-five percent
of the human body’s energy is generated

The capacity of this molecule to exist in a completely oxidized
form and a completely reduced form enables it to perform its functions in the Electron
Transport Chain (ETC) and as an antioxidant
respectively. CoQ10 is
fat-soluble and is therefore mobile in cellular membranes; it plays a unique
role in the ETC. In the inner mitochondrial
membrane, electrons
from NADH and succinate pass through the ETC
to the oxygen, which is then reduced to water. The transfer of electrons
through ETC results in the pumping
of H+ across the membrane creating a proton gradient across the membrane, which
is used by ATP
synthase (located on the membrane) to generate ATP[1].

is crucial in the process, since no other molecule can perform this function.

usage is

the age of 20, even though the decline in ATP due to damage won’t be noticed
until the 6th decade, when endurance dramatically declines. Q10 should be part of healthy
diet by reducing
sugars & carbs, exercise, learn of the corruption
worked by Pharma,
take aspirin, and post-menopause natural HRT. Q10s usage is far
