An excellent article on the development of rational thought (philosophy) contrasted with the mythic development of pseudo-wisdom of the other first civilizations, especially the Egyptians.  There are many fine illustrations and links developing related topics.  One of those rainy-day sites, like a good cocktail table book, hard to stop, a diversion for the housebound.
