***** Targeting Energy Metabolism in Brain Cancer 21 min, 113,000 views by Prof Thomas Seyfried, leading research to audience of fellow scientists on how to starve cancer which depends on glucose metabolism and thus cause its apoptosis through ketogenic diet. Cancer cells have damaged mitochondria that metabolized glucose & glutamine-- read his Cancer as a Metabolic Disease s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBjnWfT8HbQ&hd=1 Excellent

§*****Cancer as a Mitochondrial Metabolic Disease, 60 min, 13,000 views by Prof Thomas Seyfried, similar to the above, but with more such as the role of macrophages, more on diet, glutamine, and how current standard treatment kills their patients. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm_ob5u9FdM Excellent

How to Heal from Cancer & Prevention 40 min,153,255 views, John Bergman MD , good intentions, appropriately critical of chemotherapy,  sincere, sometime cherry picking, weak on science with causal errors, buys into the organic prevention and cure which is wrong, excision is best https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjhbxT0T9Sk so-so

Starving cancer, 10 minutes 138,000 views, Prof Dominic D’Agostino, TEDx lecture works with Dr. Seyfried, talks first about hyperbolic oxygen causing epileptic seizure in deep sea divers, then ketogenic diet prevent epileptic seizures, and his work on hyperbolic oxygen to damage cancer cells while sparing healthy cells, and an rat model which showed that this combination worked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fM9o72ykww&t=526s Very good

Targeting Cancer Metabolism  19 min, 1,400 views Angela Prof, Ph.D. works in the lab of D’Agostino, covers the complexity of how hyperbolic oxygen turns on oncogenes and in other ways promote apoptosis of cancer cells and ROS production (oxidative stress), adjunct therapy especially to diet and to radiation which produces reactive chemicals   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvURpDsg4TI Important

Can we eat to starve cancer, 20 min, 425,000 views, by Dr.  William Li TEDx, on angiogenesis, well illustrated, clear, but pushing chemo, by blocking formation of blood vessels, unfortunately this can only work short-term because it will kill the patient.  Cherry picking a few examples & other tricks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjkzfeJz66o Skip it

How Nature Has Already Beat Cancer 11 min, 14,550 views Carlo Maley TEDxASU, elephants have 40 copies of P53 which causes apoptosis of abnormal cells; humans have 2.  His lab is working why large animals don’t have a high rate of cancer (no mention of why we do), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQV5F2tlIZE Good

Fasting kills cancer, 7 Min, 15,619 view Dr. Barren Schmidt, on fasting very good on the health benefits of fasting, and how to get started a good intro  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJZrgyPRgY0  Very good

§ Responding to Diet Saboteurs, Critics, and Skeptics 39 min 4,500 views, Miriam Kalamian, M.S, on ketogenic diet organized, answers the physician critic, lots of slides at a conference, good ammo when discussing how you’re are starving cancer or losing weight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMsaejxm6iI Very Good

Ketogenic Diet, cancer metabolism and the Warburg Effect with Angela Poff, 55 minutes, 23,000 views, Angela Poff PhD interviews covering major points https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKsoKtkvChA  Okay

Starving cancer away 11 min, 113,000 Sophia Lunt, TEDxMSU, on cancer metabolism excellent lecture college level, on Warburg effect, but looking for a drug, no mention of ketosis, fasting, or blocking glutamate.  Typical pharma funded search for treating cancer, major research like hers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6rSuJ2YheQ Disappointing

Cancer is curable now, 109 min, 38,000 views, a push for holistic approach, a near total lack of the biology behind cancer, and every point even when fundamentally correct is off the mark.  Sure, wholesome diet is important, avoiding toxins, and hyperbolic oxygen chamber helps fight cancer.  It is as upside down as a KOL presented lecture on cancer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R7K3OhaYLs&t=2773s Skip it

Fasting cancer prevention & mitochondria Health 75 min, 80,000 view Dr Nasha Winters, into fasting, low carbs, vegan, and hormone mimic by soy is bad, but with full gulping of naturalistic herbs, vitamins, toxic environment, etc.  Gut is the center of our health and reduce stress, etc. Too much a dupe than an investigator, an educational issue.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvnzkoCfLno&t=2207s  Skip

5.  Alzheimer’s (AD), Neurodegenerative Diseases, Salubrious Ketones Bodies (diet) and autophagy: Fasting, antioxidants vitamin C & E, estradiol, testosterone, DHEA, uncoated aspirin 325 mg, and coconut oil lower risk, promote healing  Sex steroids are neurotropic factors so important that the Gila cells make them in the brain.  Coconut oil:  about 17% is converted to beta hydroxybutyrate, a BDNF (brain derived neurotropic factor—promotes brain health).  Fructose and drugs that lower metabolic activity is causal including statins and sedatives (98% of pharma’s neuroleptic drugs); they lower ATP.  Autophagy is dependent on ATP and its switched on when  insulin being low.  Most types of dementia are caused by a decline in the cellular mechanism that clean up the tau protein and beta amyloid, autophagy and mitophagy  Other major vector causes are delayed replacement and misfolding of collagens, excessively large, lipid droplets, monosodium urate crystals, defective signally, causing homeostatic-system dysfunction.  Healing/prevention requires upregulating autophagy. I would not take what pharma offers.

What can babies tell us about Alzheimer’s 21 min, 215,000 views, What I’ve learned, the brain prefer ketones, that’s why a fetus is feed on ketones and why a neonate is in ketosis when born.  The ratio of MCT : coconut oil is 35 to 20 gm/100 gm for medium chain fatty acids which are converted  to BDNF. Interesting facts about AD and ketosis.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yooNuOKsa1Q

The Alzheimer's Antidote: Can we prevent Type 3 Diabetes? | Amy Berger, 25 min, 180,000 views, What I’ve learned, interview with Amy Berger, starts with Gary Taubes & says what I do: the need for beta amyloid removal, the role of insulin resistance and IDE (insulin degrading enzyme) which with hyperinsulinemia does not do its other function of degrading beta amyloid and tau protein. The lowering of pyruvate dehydrogenase reduces the rate of metabolism of glucose thus lowers metabolism.  Misses mitochondrial dysfunction, she uses ketogenic diet for treatment, says that the brain n eeds some glucose (error because it is the blood, in  the brain); was her PhD thesis & the book, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-A2rIA2OTE&t=10s very good

Medium chain triglycerides and ketones:  an alternative fuel for 64 min,75,000 views Mary Newport, MD.  Alzheimer’s disease has defective metabolism starving the brain of ATP.  MCT (medium chain triglycerides) is converted to ketones and used by the brain for energy with striking benefits for most.  Her best presentation; misses ketogenic diet and fasting, articles at.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feyydeMFWy4 Very good

Coconut oil cure for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's 7 min, 59,600 view, CBN news, professional presented but weak on science https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPC9k8YLtBw Good

The Beginning of the End of Parkinson's Disease?  18 min, 7,300 views Dr. Kim, well done documentary with good science, some journal support for Amodiaquine and Chloroquine (malaria drugs) in treating Parkinson’s disease, still too early (3./17) to recommend  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ft5tYGqsNYQ Very good

How Ketosis can prevent Alzheimer’s diseases with Amy Berger 62 min, 9,900 author of Alzheimer’s Antidote, interview covers the important points, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yT5rjwJr354 Okay

Alzheimer’s – can we prevent it? 27 min, 21,000 views, ABC Catalyst covers all the basic points on the disease and its prevention and much more, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BW2zN3J2lfs  Very good

 Alzheimer’s reversed in detail 60 min, 143,000 views some very good things and lots of crapolla, (see bottom video for good) too much human interest and toxins, thus 75% of the lecture can be canned.  Correct on sugar, but doesn’t name fructose, statins, and sedatives, all of which hinder ATP production, the first through damaging the mitochondria.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1XvjeoOK0c Skip

Alzheimer’s Prevention Program: Keep Your Brain Healthy  57 Min, 221,000  views. UCTV, Dr. Gary Small, a KOL administrator heading a team of over 120 people at UCLA who leaves out all the body’s healing process of autophagy through fasting, low carb diet, antioxidants, sex hormones, and especially aerobic exercise and beta hydroxybutyrate from coconut oil all both which improve brain healing through BDNF.  The cause of AD is mitochondria function, and thus low ATP which powers autophagy and mitophagy.  It is a failure to clear tau & adequately beta amyloid.  KOL crap nicely presented. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5HXPxB837s Skip

6.  Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) and the Cholesterol & Salt Myths journal articles on heart issues and JK’s summation of the information at longer & CVD

***** Demonization and Deception in Cholesterol Research 59 min 211,000 David Diamond, neuroscientist, first 30 minutes mostly historical on fats, carbs, and official position on them (laying the grounds for the upside-down belief about cholesterol and the corruption worked by corporations).  The second part covers the main points with clinical trials; his slides from the journals drive home the issues, a quality presentation.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX1vBA9bLNk Excellent

***** Assessing the Myth that Elevated Cholesterol Causes Cardiovascular Disease 54 min 17,355 David Diamond PhD; covers fats, cholesterol, familial hypercholesterolemia, statins, lower LDL & cholesterol are at best minuscule relevant to adverse events.  However, triglycerides and clotting factor prothrombin are raised by the high carb diet.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYlhG8_nZe0 Excellent

***** Combating Heart Disease:  Statins, Supplements, Stem Cells, Hyperbaric Oxygen? 54 minutes, 620 views, Prof. Donald Miller, has looked at the negative evidence (not pharma’s crap) and found it worse than I thought it to be, college level. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hc0A_Boda34&t=32s Excellent

§***** Fat and Cholesterol do NOT Cause Heart Disease 5 min, 11,000 views that saturated fats are good, and Ancel Keyes role in fat-cholesterol myth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8WA5wcaHp4  from Fat Head 103, sound, graphs, interviews, facts—great presentation, excellent FIFTEENTH CHOICE

The Truth about Cholesterol 25 min, 10,000 views by Dr. Michael Van Derschelden who gets most of it right; another well-presented talk with illustrations on the statin-scam, for a general audience, very convincing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcZIuj42muY Very good

The cholesterol hypothesis: 10 Key ideas that the dietdictators have hidend, 69 minutes, 291,853 vies in in 3 months Prof. Tim Noakes, goes over the history of how a sound theory can be buried by tobacco ethics and tobacco studies, exposing McGovern Commission and the AHA with Ancel Keys as the generals. A phone interview, all slide, sound so-so, very effective https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyzkv5uFGt8 Very Good

Vitamin C and Heart Disease, 66, min, 3.000 views Prof. Linus Pauling, one day before his 91st birthday at Stanford Medical School.  Health benefit for 2 plus grams of vitamin C (ascorbate) daily based upon a rare deletion in the genes for making vitamin C among primates, and the imperfect adaptation to counter its health consequences on a diet in many areas with limited fruits and vegetables by protecting lipoprotein-A.  Of interest because of Pauling, weak on the science https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bymKIPaTws   Good

Avoiding and resolving modern chronic disease 31 min 76,000, Ivor Cummins, stress calcification score (CAC), runs about $100. Wrong model of the problem as to MI risk by blaming oxidized LDL.  High calcium score and vegetable oils, excess sugar, hyperinsulinemia, hypertension, and high blood glucose are right on, makes this worth-while.  Fix low carb high fat diet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IU-33EucMc Good

Atherosclerosis 3 min, 933,000 views standard explanation of starting with damaged to endothelial cells (correct) permitting oxidized cholesterol to enter the interior layers of the artery wall which cause inflammation (wrong); it is pathogens.  Plaque is only 7 to 22% lipids (fat and cholesterol).  Excellent sound and video.  Worth watching for the crapolla explanation that promotes statins a slow poison https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHE1ig4k64M Good

The widowmaker, it could save your life 56 min, and 203,000 viewers, documentary on the calcium score, (CAC) exposes the money behind stents, that trumped CAC.  Misses financial link of AHA.  Study found the stents don’t save lives, but misses that bypass operations failure.  Ends with AHA approving CAC, but no comment on insurance companies’ opposition.  Claim CAC will reduce asymptomatic sudden coronary deaths, but doesn’t describe lifestyle changes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSPcuGjstN4 .So-so

The Cholesterol hypothesis:  10 key ideas that the diet dictators have hidden, 64 min 357,000 in 4.5 months, plenty of information supported by journal evidence, supported by journals.  His use of Koch hypothesis is flawed, and denies contributing causes (wants all or nothing), makes all 10 points in title convincingly, sound quality phone poor, zoom lecture, accepts oxysterols promotes atherosclerosis miss in immune compromise and pathogens in artery walls, adds nut oils oxidized, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyzkv5uFGt8 So so

Note:  Lowering cholesterol is a surrogate accepted by the FDA for drug approval rather than the endpoint of less ischemic events and deaths. The association has never been demonstrated in sound scientific studies.  The theory of oxidized cholesterol causing inflammation and plaque formation is crapolla.  Pharma has made billions treating their cholesterol myth with statins (most of which are now off patent).  Now a new patented family of drugs is on the market—the switch is on.  The cause is atherosclerosis which is strongly associated with the high sugar Western diet and cigarettes damaging the endothelia cells and thereby promoting along with insulin resistance the colonization of bacteria, the cause of the inflammation.  The fix is to reverse insulin resistance through fasting and healthy diet which cleanses the liver-- exercise and the supplements I listed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   6/23/2021
WARNING THE RULING CLASS and PHARMA WANT TO DRUG YOU INTO COMPLACENCY.  The FDA is approving sedative for pain, hypertension, smoking, pre-menstrual syndrome, muscle relaxants, COPD, neurosis, and on and on.  If a drug makes you drowsy it is very likely a sedative (unless it is an opioid).  Read the side effects and warnings:  sleep, drowsy, don't operate equipment are signs. Those who are drugged are more likely, because their mind is in a fog, to take every pill the doctor gives them, and vote for the 2-party system.  Psychiatric drugs move the bell curve to the left—net harm.
7A  Psychiatric Drugs –7B Psychiatry – 7C Psychology
§***** Making a Killing, the Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugs 95 min 669,000 views; starts with senseless killings and suicides to show these drugs do more harm than good; leads into drug approval, they are very addicting; that pharma hooked up with Am. psychiatry Assoc. to turn them into willing pill pushers that invent & expand mental illness.  Missed is that these drugs are tranquilizers were approved because they increase sleep, which is 15% of its “benefits” under Hamilton Rating Scale.  What pharma does to market psychiatric drugs, the same is done with all of the most profitable classes of drugs, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsqDyEMkLpQ  Excellent
***** Psychiatric Drugs: Do They Fix Imbalances or Do They Create Them - Part 1 88 min, 8,700 views, Robert Whitaker, science writer and critic.  Given to an academic audience, it is exceptionally well organized and supported by evidence given in slides.  His passion based on psychiatry’s departure from serving the patient comes through.  Theme, compared to a placebo, psychiatric drugs for depression given long-term promote chronic depression by 300%.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep1ODxCoYlI Exccellent
*****Psych-Drugs Harm – [Part] Two:  Few Benefit, Many Harmed 58 min, 6,000 views, Prof. Peter Gotzsche MD, 9/15, by the co-founder of the Cochrane Review, whose specialty is statistical analysis.  Exposes many of the ways pharma commits scientific fraud to get favorable results, and concludes that these drugs are far worse than nothing at all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNpGe5r0jI0&t=431s Exccellent    Good sound with slides, thorough, organized  also at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNpGe5r0jI0&t=2217s
Psych-Drugs Harm [Part] 3, Medicating ADHD, 42 min 1,157 views Robert Whitaker, science writer, Similar to the others, 9/15.  He shows that the results of the few long-term studies on Ritalin are ignored and sometimes actively suppressed. Stimulants for ADHD are effective only short-term in that they suppress behavior, long-term they are worse than nothing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1NYmZxZL_g Very good
§***** Big pharma Big Money 176 min 230,000 views.  Great organization, covers all key topics, for a general audience, no delays by human interest stories; however, it repeats through multiple testimonials each point, which accounts for its length https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojZn1P1CxJE Excellent also under Psychiatry:  The Marketing of Madness at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFkivsEy3CI and Depression is NOT a Chemical Imbalance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OB-AzVBj3E
The Truth about Depression 97 min, 30,000, views, BBC slick pro-drug (promotes the sales pitch given by Pharma) documentary which argues that depression is real, affects behavior, has causes in the brain, and needs antidepressant to fix the problem, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVLAjowFkY4  Sucks
Instead of treating a people with a drug that makes them feel better long-term, pharma uses fat-soluble drugs that accumulate and remain in the body, have horrible withdrawal (very addicting), that cloud cognitive processes, create confusion, and make the patient dependent on their doctor:  they are tranquilizers labeled as a fix (anti-anxiety, etc.)   A sedative, they lower ATP, the energy molecule and are thus a significant cause for dementia epidemic and other conditions.  Several illicit recreational drugs perform much better than pharma’s downers:  Amphetamines for depression (as they were legally prescribed in the 40 through 70s), marijuana and opiates for anxiety, and LSD in a clinical situation with talk therapy for major neurosis (as done in the 60s).  The issue of compliance with treatment would vanish if downers helped the psychiatric patients.  Through the blocking of dopamine, they dull the pleasure centers of the brain thus block sexual drive and love, increase boredom, and worse, lower metabolism.  The lack of empathy turns a small percentage of the psychotic episodes into violence (murders and suicides).  Behaviorist therapy (distinguished form CBT) has been shown to work best for nearly all psychiatric problems.  Drugs only exasperate the problem—with a couple of exceptions.  They are more addicting than heroin.  By blocking cognitive functions cause people to rely upon pill pushers.
As to why there is so much drugs (reactional and psychiatric), and mental problems: the drugs relieve boredom short term, and thus are a short-term reinforce.  We are a social animal which industry exploits through social engineering to set up peer groups and control the practice of medicine.  More fundamental is mitochondrial dysfunction which has damaged the carefully sculptured balance of brain receptors and neurotransmitter.  For more on that go to /rmb
***** The hacking of the American Mind 33 min, 15,000 views, Prof. Robert Lustig, UCTV, interview, he raises two points, one is the difference between pleasure which is short term and happiness which is a state of mind and is long term.  We have through corporate media been turned into pleasure seekers.  He compares dopamine to serotonin and explains the role of dopamine action in the brain’s pleasure centers that create addiction through tolerance, thus requiring greater amount for the pleasure.  Dopamine (pleasure) down regulates serotonin.  Serotonin causes the state of mind that produces long-term happiness, short on love, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKkUtrL6B18 Long version 90 min. 15. Pandemics
An excellent video presentation by Ivor Cummins , an engineer who became a leading medical researcher and public speaker on health issues.  He looked at the quality published information on the lockdown, deaths from COVID, age of death (loss of quality years).  Total death has the normal spike during the influenza epidemic—a point I made starting in April of 2020.  He does a comparison to the Orient, and they without lock down have about 1/95th the death rate of US, Italy, and other western countries.  He points that a positive CPR test is counted as death from COVID, even if the person had no influenza type symptoms.  Secondly Ivor shows that nations without lookdown and masks generally do better that those with.  That is because without lockdown and masks there is a development of community immunity.  Counting total morality avoids the avoids the distortion of count COVID when a person died of other causes, which is what the article below proves.  The conclusion is that the COVID epidemic has been propagandized.  38 min. 160,000 views  in just 3 weeks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_vAQyVlXzU&feature=emb_rel_end
[1] Colitis, Crohn’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease should be treated the same.  Doctors are trained to make subtle distinctions, and to sculpture a treatment to their classification.  This in most cases is merely market ploy creating an aura of expertise and personal care.  Most of this is pure marketing dressed up as science marketed by dupes (physicians) of the healthcare industries.
I bought a Google Chromecast for $35.  It allows me to stream from my laptop to the television.  I have the laptop by the couch, and I have a stereo hooked up to the television.  I plugged the Chromecast into the HDMI outlet on the Sony Stereo.  The Sony is hooked up to my Vizio TV.   A much better experience than a computer monitor and small speakers or the TV’s tinny speakers.
